Hon. Odebunmi Rejoices with Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the New Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Hon. Olusẹgun Dokun Ọdẹbunmi, Board Chairman of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, on Monday, 15th September 2025, paid a congratulatory visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, at his residence to celebrate his confirmation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Hon. Ọdẹbunmi, whose political journey began in June, 2003 when he was appointed Caretaker Chairman of Surulere Local Government by the then Executive Governor of Oyo State, Sen. Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, expressed heartfelt joy at the monarch’s ascension.
He congratulated the new Olubadan and prayed for good health, wisdom, and divine guidance as he leads with unity and love. In his words, he affirmed that Ibadanland and Oyo State at large will be proud of their new king, describing Oba Ladoja as a people-friendly leader, fondly remembered as “Ladoja Dee, Idera Dee!”
The visit also rekindled fond memories, as Hon. Ọdẹbunmi and the monarch reflected on shared experiences and moments of service to the people.
Accompanying Hon. Ọdẹbunmi on the visit were: Alhaji Ganiyu Adedokun, The Aremo of Okoland, Prince Olaniyan Olatunji, Former Board Member, Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, APC Leaders from Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere Local Government, and other distinguished personalities.
